I bought a thick slab of sirloin on impulse today, having no idea what to do with it. I found a recipe online, cooked it, and Oh. My. Gawd. Awesome.
Preheat broiler. In small bowl, mix the following:
2 TBLS soy sauce
1 TBLS prepared mustard (I used Gulden's Brown)
1 tsp ground ginger
1 tsp basil
1 tsp ground black pepper
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp lemon juice (I didn't have any lemons, so I used raspberry vinegar)
Spread the marinade on the slab of sirloin. Broil 5 minutes, turn over and broil to your preference of doneness. I did 4 more minutes and it was perfect.
