:confetti: I'm so excited to start planning. :D
The other day, Bailey saw a decorated Christmas tree in Kohls and was all  :confetti: She was super excited and had no idea what it was. Christmas is going to be super fun this year.
I *am* excited to have a new house to decorate, but also intimidated.

I love the holidays! My Mom will be here for Thanksgiving so I am planning on making it special! Of course Christmas is always special too!

That's awesome Danielle!
Thanksgiving is really special to me too b/c my parents come visit us. :) Just a really cozy and nice family time together.

Thanksgiving is the only time my entire side of the family gets together so it's a big deal in our house too. :)
Christmas will be different this year, but we're not yet sure how it will go.....
They were playing Christmas music while I was at The Children's Place a couple of weeks ago. I asked the cashier if he thought it was a bit early for it and he was a bit put off and explained to me that Black Friday is "just around the corner." I'll probably not shop there again.
 But I'm all for our forum being open.

I want Thanksgiving table linens and all I see at Target and BBB are Christmas ones :stars:
FTR, I did just buy the girls' Christmas dresses at TCP Outlet yesterday.
Were they playing Christmas music??? :getyou:
Honestly, I didn't even notice what they were playing.
I started humming along and then was all, "WTF?"

I hold off on Christmas music until after November 9th. :right:
I don't care if a person wants to listen to holiday music, I'm offended by a store using it in the hopes that they'll make sales.
I think they should wait until the mall (if it's a mall store, obviously) is decorated.

I have a few things for Anthony that I have picked up on clearance, but nothing for the girls. The boys are so easy to buy for. The girls... not so much.
I'm thinking about Kindles for the girls. I think they would like them, especially Taylor.

is it too late for making vanilla?
Karen

I think we're just at the brink of too late for the vanilla. I think it's 6 weeks to 2 months, from what I can see. I was planning on starting some this week.
I was planning on making some this week, too. So I hope not.
Holidays.
Maybe I will holiday shop from my laptop in my down time after my surgery.
While we are mixing things with vodka.....

Thanksgiving is done here. Halloween, well I have candy and costumes. No decorating as I am going to spend Halloween at a friends house so Emma and her little girl can trick or treat together. Christmas, 90% done. I started shopping awhile ago.

I can't post in the holiday forum
Me either. It says private with no posts. I think Kim was playing a mean joke, making us think the holiday forum was open already.
You guys are nuts. :right:
Did you maybe check your settings, to see if you have the forum hidden? /all I've got
Karen
10-25-2011, 02:06 PM
I can see the forum. I can see the threads and read them, but the box down in the left corner says I don't have permission to do anything. I don't even know how to hide a forum. I assume if I had hidden it, I couldn't even see it and get in to read the threads? :dunno:
You're on the naughty list.

I may or may not have broken down and put on some instrumental holiday music on Pandora to listen to today to drown everyone out. :right:
I'm not ready for the full blown stuff yet. :)

I had planned on putting my holiday music back on my phone last night...but then Dave's computer blew up (figuratively, not literally) so he had to use my computer to figure out what was wrong with it, so no download for me. BUT, I had intended to do so. :)
