Anyone else do this stuff?

I've gotten into canning lately. :D I've made a few things so far. From left to right:

A half-eaten jar of spicy dill refrigerator pickles (http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Spicy-Refrigerator-Dill-Pickles/Detail.aspx), dill pickles (http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Dill-Pickles/Detail.aspx) (non-fridge ones), marinated mushrooms (http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Marinated-Mushrooms-II/Detail.aspx), strawberry jam (http://pickyourown.org/strawberryjam.htm), and sweet hot pepper relish (http://www.thatsmyhome.com/general/hot-pepper-relish.htm). The refrigerator pickles are quite good, but the regular ones won't be done for several more weeks, so I don't know about them. We haven't tried the mushrooms yet. The jam is very tasty, and I LOVE the pepper relish. It's really good on top of cheese and crackers. :eat:

Here is a pic of my whole stash. Ignore the horror that is my kitchen. :nono:

Great job! I love to can. The top shelf of all my cabinets is full of jars.

I love refrigerator pickles. Last year our extra refrigerator was FULL of pickles, which is the only thing I hate about them. I run out of room. I want to try some freezer ones next, I've never made them.

So far this year I've made 2 batches of plum jelly, blackberry jelly, grape jelly, red pepper spread, peaches, hot sauce, diced tomatoes, whole tomatoes and chow chow. I think that's it. Our squash we freeze instead of can. I want to can a lot more, but we didn't do a very big garden this year. Next year it's on!

A green tomato and cabbaged based spread. I eat it on black eyed peas

My recipe is similar to this:

Gregg makes fun of me for it.

Oh and it makes a ton and has to sit for a couple days...so I make it in an ice chest.

I think I'll be doing apple sauce and apple butter very soon...and I may try to make/can a bruschetta.

Ooh, I should do apple butter! I hadn't even thought of that. I am gonna need a second kitchen to store all this stuff, though.

I made some crockpot apple butter that was yummy. I don't really know what to put it on though, so we haven't used much of it and it made a ton.
