I seriously do not like the little mini cabbages, like, at. all. I ran across a recipe where they are roasted and damn if they weren't awesome! Very easy, too. I thawed frozen baby sprouts, tossed with olive oil, salt and pepper, and threw them on a baking dish in the oven at 400 for 30-45 minutes. They were brown and crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Littlest son was eating them like popcorn.
I'm trying cauliflower next.

Was that from the Whole Foods recipe site? We do them like that, it's the only way dh will eat them. I like them a little more tender with a buttery sauce.
mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm love brussel sprouts!

I can't remember where I saw it, Nat. I have a wordpad on my desktopfor when I see something that sounds good and I was browsing through it looking for new veggie ideas.

I do something similar.
I cut fresh BS in half, put them cut side down in my iron skillet. Put a butt-load of butter in there and sprinkle with sea salt. I let them sizzle until they are BLACK on the bottom.
Goodness!!!

This sounds wonderful. I love brussel sprouts, but no one else will eat them. I am going to try this. Thanks for the post.
