PW Blog/Homepage installed

We've had the blog installed for awhile, but I needed to have the theme designed to match the forums. As soon as we figure out how to switch the home page redirect from the current page to the blog, our home page will be open for business!

For now, it's located HERE (http://www.phenomsonline.com/blog).

Step Two to this effort is turning that page into something alluring, inviting, action and information packed, and that drives traffic and registrations to the forums.

I'll also note that I am seeking writers & bloggers who would like a spot for their content to shine. Drop me a PM or an email (admin@phenomsonline.com)if you know someone who'd like some free publicity--the home page will be open to the public and crawled by google. We don't have an awesome page rank but if we can build some backlinks (high ranking sites linking to us), that will improve.

Anyone with great ideas for the construction of the page and what it could/should include, please feel free to drop your suggestions here-- any and all are welcome.

Are the blogs only seen by us, like journals were? (i.e. not public)

Do we get a notification when someone comments on our blog?

The homepage blog is not the same as the blogs that are installed for your use.

You can set your vBlog to private, if you like, otherwise it will be public. I'm not sure if you get a notification of comment, or if you can set it to do that. I haven't dug into it that far except to make a test post.

Okay, so I *totally* disagree with the article about feminism on the first page. Why can't we leave comments?????

It was just a placeholder to test it out. The articles there have there a year -- I just changed the dates-- and the comments full of porn spam so I turned them off for now.
