The ads at the side will be replaced by affiliate ads and amazon. Those are just dummy placemarkers for right now.

Looks good but I have one comment on the color combos... the white on 'peach' for the buttons 'post reply', quote, multi and quick are VERY difficult for me to read. I also find the white on blue in the PM area somewhat difficult to read.

Good points, DIMW. They didn't seem that hard to read in the demo-- maybe because I've been looking at it for awhile. He would have to completely redo the style in order to change the colors so we're stuck with them until we get a revision but I will keep it in mind when we need to update it.

It could also be that I have older eyes... As an aside, when the skin was redone on Recipezaar, there was almost a mutiny because the color combos literally gave people headaches, me included. They lost a fair number of users over that one issue.

Edit options > scroll to the very last option under Forum skin and 'Use Default'.

I made the old screen usable because I can't log out on this new skin.

Okay, so just in case anyone else is having this problem, Moke is correct. Go to the bottom left hand corner and use the pull down menu to switch from phenom to phenom2009.

On the old format, I used to only have to type in the first three letters of a username when searching or PM'ing and the board will automatically give me options to choose from.

Is that gone away? :cry:

Also, Quick Reply has not worked for me since yesterday (reason for my double posts) but I think I may be the only one with that problem. When I post it just says "please hold..." forever.

That hasn't gone away but both of those are cookie issues. Try clearing those. Both functions work for me.

You should be able to get to them through your USER CP. The installer won't delete the program right away, so you may want to save the URL so you can access it if it disappears.

We've always had a friends list. :D We just don't use it much because we're all pretty close. On larger, less friendly boards it comes in handy. As well, it's easy to PM someone or get to someone's profile if they're on your Friends List, as opposed to digging through the members list.

We are having issues updating Chat, but it will be updated and then I hope it will work for everyone. The other thing is that the forum filters have not been updated for this version, so if you need to exclude a forum from view, let me know and I'll do it manually.

Dar you should have seen the original demo. I forgot to tell him 'no flowers'. I decided we could keep the hearts though because they were cute.

The 'new posts' and 'unread posts' counts seem to be incorrect. When I logged in this morning, they both said 13, however, there were 15 threads with posts I had not read. One of those threads had 14 new posts in it.

They'll probably always be a little bit off. To conserve server power, I don't have the database checking really really often. We don't really need new posts, since we have the unread posts. Eventually the new posts will go away.

OK, I gotta know if this is intentional of not. When I am on let's say the forums page, the frame that contains the menu bar that says Home, forums, arcade, ... the stats on unread posts, ... the bar that says quick links, members, ... overlaps the frame behind it by .25" or so over the brown at the top where it say Phenomenal Women Forums. It is also smaller on the right and left by at least .25".

Also, the 'sponsors' frame overlaps the frame described above into the blue area beside "Welcom to phenomenal women the premier site for women's support" and totally covers the terracotta menu bar for the width of the sponsor frame.

Is this how everyone else's screen looks? I tried to do a screen grab but wasn't able too. I have tried this on both Safari and Firefox and it's the same so maybe it's intentional. :dunno:

I think it depends on the size of the screen. At home, it looks REALLY wide. At work, it looks scrunched, but the only thing that overlaps for me is the Logout Moke. It wraps to the next line, but I realize it is the size of my screen here at work.

If you mean is it supposed to appear sort of 'layered' yes. Other than that I don't see anything wonky. The sponsors frame is supposed to overlap, over the blue, and the terracotta navbar, down next to the forums and then fades out. From the blue menu bar all the way down to the bottom, that section is 'raised' and there is a bit of a lip on either side.

Is that what you mean?
