Homemade Ice Cream

Does anyone have a good recipe?? We have used the recipes that come in with the ice cream maker and some from on-line but the milk/cream ratio still has the ice cream leaving a greasy film on the roof of my mouth that I just don't like.... has anyone perfected this? There are so many that I want to try (I am going to make a basil ice cream... sounds gross but we had some on our cruise and it was freaking fantastic!). I just want to enjoy it and not have to scrub the oil off my tongue!

LOL no help at all Lisa but thanks for the reply. I was hoping for maybe a ratio of cream to milk or light cream or something. Ben and Jerry's is good too!

I have never made ice cream from scratch but now I want some.

LOL Moke. IT's good. Just greasy! Sometime I will get it perfected.
