I am trying to plan out a loose menu to get back into the groove of cooking dinner, since we haven't really cooked much for the past couple of weeks due to the moving.
Tonight:
beef stew
Rest of the week:
tortellini & chicken sausages
baked/sauteed chicken, rice, veggie
hamburgers (no bun), pasta, veggie
Still working on a couple more...we have chicken and ground beef in the freezer, and we have a TON of side things in the pantry. We must have been buying them a lot faster than we were eating them, because when we moved, it was crazy how many boxes of flavored rice and crap like that we had. So we need to work on eating those.
I just went shopping:
Tonight: Seared tuna, brown rice, szechuan green beans
Monday: Mushroom and wild rice soup, salad
Tuesday: Tortilla soup, salad
Wednesday: Pasta Fazool. (ditalini, white kidney beans, red sauce :eat:)
Thursday: Orange shrimp over quinoa, broccoli
Friday: Fish tacos with black beans

I wish Alex liked seafood. :nono:
Do you have a recipe for the mushroom soup?
Yeah! I was going to post it. I just made it up on a whim yesterday and it turned out really good. I'll put it in the recipe room.

This is what I have in my notebook.
Pork chops
pot roast
pork tenderloin
chicken boobs
homemade pizza
chili
hamburgers
salmon
meatloaf
tacos
tater soup
I have potatoes, rice, coscous for side dishes, broccoli and green beans and salad in the fridge. I also have canned and frozen veggies in there. I also have some dried beans that I am going to try to make as a side dish instead of a starchy item.
When I plan meals, I usually just plan the main dish and work from there. I also did freezer inventory last week, so that is why it seems like I know what we are going to have, ask me next week, I might have no idea.

35 people??? How do you cook for 35 people??? I guess this is where the dugger website comes in handy.
big roasters of soup. and lots of loaves of bread-- thankfully everyone brings a side.
My MIL is bringing dessert
As soon as we go to the store, it is back to LC :indiff: I need a sugar detox. This is as far as I got.
