I am making dinner for 7 people tomorrow. I am going to make a roast beast...I need ideas on sides. I am going to make a pumpkin gooey butter cake for dessert I think. I also want to make some kind of adult beverage that can be made in quantity. I was thinking hot cider, but I have no idea how to make that. Does anyone have a recipe, or other ideas for a drink that is a good cold-weather drink that can be made for a crowd?
oooh google/zaar mulled cider.
We had mulled cider wine last year for xmas. SO GOOD! I can't have it this year though *sob*
Yeah I think you can make those things in the crockpot. That would be convenient.

I put a half gallon of cider in the crockpot with a cup of cranberry juice, a sliced orange, some whole cloves and a few cinnamon sticks and about half a cup of brown sugar. Left it on high until it was hot, then cut back to low. People are adding bourbon or rum if they want it. :D
Yummy! I hope you're having a good night!
