And Mom experimenting with hair pretties...it seems she finally has enough hair for barrettes! :D

And my new yarn. So far all I've done is stare at it, afraid to start.
Okay, and the color might seem kind of un-girlish. BUT. I wanted something kind of neutral. (northernessence.com has hot chocolate scented wool wash that I might get for them. :D )

Adorable!
And I think that yarn is just fine for a girl.
Pair it with a dark red top. :swoon:

I found it online at a store called "Wool And Company".
Their website kind of overwhelmed me though, as far as looking for yarn. So I just drove out there...it was only 20 minutes away. They have so much cool stuff...I could go nuts!
Ok. Now that you have found your LYS (local yarn store), did you check to see if they do any Sit and Knit nights?
Because anyone there would be more than happy to help you if you need it. Plus, they will usually have one of there employees there to help/teach. :D

Yes...in fact they gave me a brochure that lists all their events and classes..they have a lot! They even have a "Knitting Dr." service where you can come in any time and have them help you with any problems you're having with a project. (They charge 5 bucks for that, but you can stay as long as you need to.)
The only sucky thing about their classes is that they're all around 7pm...which might mean I'd be driving there during rush hour. Which would make it much more than a 20 minute drive.

/jacking my own thread
I LOVED the town this shop was in. It's one of those "old, quaint" type of towns with tons of shops and a farmers market, etc.
Our SnK is at 6:30. Talk about an akward time.

Love the shorties. And what a cute model too. Is that yarn you dyed? I love the new yarn. Glad you found a LYS. We don't have one here.

Yup....they are this yarn:

But when I crocheted them, the red and pink blended together, and the purple and green blended together (it's just how they happened to match up), so it almost looks like there's only 2 colors instead of 4. Oh well..
The bright pink at the waist and cuffs is some other wool yarn that I already had.
