View Full Version : What to serve with ribs?
We're having people over for the football game tomorrow...so far on the menu is ribs :dunno: I don't like pasta, potato or macaroni salad or coleslaw :indiff:
I have no clue what to serve  And I don't want it to be too heavy because we are eating at like 8pm.

well...ummm...those are the party type things to have. maybe you can do some special type of french fry or a baked potato type thing. my friend made this great potato and cheese bake thing when she had her pig roast. it looked really simple, but good!!

I know, hence my dilemna
Potatoes sound good....maybe just chips and cheese dip.
Deviled eggs :eat:
Spinach dip w/ hawaiian bread
tortilla chips and some sort of cheese dip
garden salad
veggies and dip
fruit plate/salad
my aunt makes this cheesey potato casserole that is to die for. So some sort of cheesy potato thing, that's my vote ;) /not going to be there

sounds good. the potato thing she made was just like cut up potatoes with all kinds of gooey cheese all over em. i am sure u could find a recipe. cheese=goodness in my world. i could eat it all day. you could also have some steamed and buttered broccoli. when i go to Leroy Selmon's (fav bbq restuarant here in FL) they have choice of potato and this awesome buttery goodness broccoli with their ribs (which are awesome ribs btw).
no pasta, potatoes or noodles?
:indiff:
I guess that leaves rice. (if you feel the need for starch) or make it more summer picnic style with chips, baked beans, corn on the cob.
No broccoli. :nono: Broccoli is evil. /still not going to be there so my votes don't matter
:rocks: broccoli is green heaven
Corn on the cob is a great idea :confetti:
But how is the corn in VA? :indiff:
:rocks: broccoli is green heaven
No way, no how.
It's probably the only veggie I cannot force myself to eat. I wish I liked it :dunno:
