Cub has 10 for $10 this week, and I STOCKED.UP. I spent the better part of today breaking hamburger up into one pound portions and sealing it with the foodsaver. I did pork chops too. :D /unusually thrifty for me

Should I invest in a foodsaver? I just use freezer bags. :dunno:

Lisa

We were having a freezer burn issue.

:dunno:

We haven't had a single problem since we started using it. It was one of those things that Cliff "gave into" and swore we would use for about a week, and then it would end up in a closet. But we still use it all the time.

I bought the cheapo $40 food saver at Target ( the other ones were $90-$130 ) Just to see if I liked it first. I really like it, but I don't see how the more expensive ones would be better than mine, it's super easy. :dunno:

And our meat was hamburger $1 a pound (but you had to buy it by the five pound chub), porkchops 10 for $10 (not a GREAT deal, but I bought them anyway), sausage chubs $1 each, and tilapia, pollack and salmon for $1.

Good to know. I have been coveting a food saver for a long time. And now I have a Costco membership.

*starts searching Craigslist for a freezer, to complete the axis of evil* :right:

I don't know if it matters, but I just realized that I don't have a Food Saver, I have a Seal a Meal. In case anyone was looking for the cheap one.
