This dress is GREAT!

It would be adorable over a pair of jeans after it was too short for a dress.

Oh, ordering online are you? I might actually call a few stores and see if anyone doesn't laugh when I ask for PD and then decide whether to order online or shop in the store.

Max already has all of those boy's clothes. Oh, wait, he has other Gymboree boy clothes that LOOK.JUST.LIKE.THAT.

They need a new creative mind working on the boy's lines.

Sonny

Lisa, they did a turtle line last year like that. I have a onesie from that line in size 12-18 months that you are welcome to.

I have $75 in gymbucks. *excited* He needs summer shirts more than anything. I'm thinking his shorts from last year will still fit. And if that birthday boy shirt comes in his size it is on like donkey kong.

Natale
01-08-2007, 10:59 PM
There was a turtle line in layette last year? Are you sure you're not thinking of Puddle Jumping, with the frogs, aka the cutest layette line ever?

Mandy

Nope, it has turtles. It is white with two turtles on it and the neck and legs have yellow.

K, just remember, when she starts crawling, you're not going to want to have too many dresses. We made that mistake.

Karen
01-09-2007, 09:18 AM
The dresses are for church and trips to grandmas' house!

Your advice on crawling/dresses is exactly why I have almost none of SIL's clothes for that age--she got all dresses (and regretted it).

Karen
01-09-2007, 09:19 AM
I like the carter's onesie's that have the little skirt thing on the front. If they hang down too far while she's crawling, I figure I can stitch them together more so they don't interfere. right?

Dar
01-09-2007, 09:21 AM
Yeah, they aren't too bad for crawling. But the full dresses are the problem.

Is she set for 12 mo. clothes right now? I can do more digging to see what I have. I might have sent you what I had, because Alison ruined alot of the pants she had with crawling. However, I can look. I'm going to be in the attic, anyways, putting away Christmas stuff this week.

BB was at the crawling age in the summer, and she wore those little bubble suits all the time. Overalls and dresses are a problem for crawlers.

I'll probably get some sale stuff. Peruvian dolls maybe.

Emma just hit a growth spurt, so she could probalby still use cold weather stuff.

01-09-2007, 05:17 PM
Ok.

Everything is on the "verge" of being too small, but the only things I can say she will never wear again are the puppy vest and the brown puppy hoodie/pants set.

Both a size 6 and the pants are a 5.

The rest of the stuff I'll probalby try to get another month out of.

She's still wearing the shirts that go under them, so I guess they're not really outfits at all.

I've made a few observations...

1. Holy.Crap. A cute outfit is nothing to get a 2nd mortgage for.

3. Some kids need to be dressed in cute clothes, because they aren't. :indiff: /meanyhead

Nope.

I'm totally not an outfit person. :turnsNatoff:

Don't you think some of them have to be exaggerating? If I had that kind of budget for children's clothing, I'd mix it up with some designer and boutique stuff. Gymboree is where I would buy everyday playclothes.

I'll just send it to you. :D

But the bad part about it is how lazy I am about shipping stuff. [/honest]

Is it for next year?

Did you catch that the pants were a 5?

Emma is skinny, so I bought the 5. I don't think I'll be able to do those type of pants for her anymore. I have to have adjustable.

This is a bad picture....but this is the short sleeved shirt she wore with the vest. It has brown and pink stripes. Button up. The sleeves are kinda blousy.

And I have the puppy purse. She carried it once.

Ya, I'm having a hard time thinking ahead. Some things, like skirts, I'm getting in sixes...also shirts. I think they'll fit for a while...possibly until next year. The adjustable waists are great. But, I don't want to risk it with jeans, besides, she needs them.

Yeah. My SIL lives in Florida and sends me tons of summer hand me downs. I have a bunch of denim skorts. I kinda don't understand why she sends me summer hand me downs right before winter when Emma can't wear them, and she is too big for them by summer.

This outfit (but not with boots!) - love the sweater, sparkly flower, and check skirt:

Oh and some tights. :indiff:

She wears the black dress with the pink footless tights and the sparkle shoes (what? :D) or regular socks and her pink Converse.

It's so cute. :D

How do you do with the gymboree shoes?

Emma's feet are sooo thin. I can't even buy her sandals most of the time because her feet slip right through the opening.

I'm afraid to buy gymboree shoes for that reason.

That dress is really adorable.

 That was the first pair I bought. Maggie has the same problem with narrow feet. I'm skeptical about the clogs, but the glitter shoes are fine...I bought them at the store.

I put a few things on hold, most for next year. A few sweaters, some jeans, 2 shirts for this summer. I got some pjs, a shirt, and some shoes for now, though. He needs summer stuff. I think his shorts will still fit but his shirts will be too small.

I was looking at the imaginary friends line. I loved that line. All I bought was this.

I can't find much in her size that I like. I'm sure not going to buy wool knickers...as much as I love houndstooth. I'm not sure that is very practical.

The houndstooth knickers were among the gymboree items I bought for Ellie at Christmas. I got the cream, knit dressy looking shirt, too. It was really warm at Christmas, so my sister paired the knickers with a pink tank and lightweight pink jacket one evening. It was so cute. I think they're a lot more versatile than you think.

Ha! I found the jeans. I didn't find the sweater I wanted, but I found the blue floral LBE dress marked 12.99 and I bought the navy WYWH gauchos to match with a top I already had. I switched out the pink top that I wasn't crazy about for a red turtleneck. Oh, and the doll hair clips that Amy got for Maggie. /stalker

For earnings and redemption, I spent a total of $120.43, and my purchases had a total retail value of 609.75. That's 80% off.

1 dress
4 knit pants
3 jeans/trousers
2 hoodies
1 fleecy jacket
1 blouse
2 sweaters
8 knit tops
1 pair socks
1 card of hair pretties
and an outift to give at the baby shower

Not if you want people to think she is a boy. :D

Unless you find one that says I :hbeat: Wheels. Then, it is ok.

If it were pink and said that, then we'd be in business. Who says girls don't like sports?!

You'll need to tie up the sleeves with red ribbons. :D

Yup. I'll bet it would be cute with the red or navy polka dot capris and matching hair pretties.

Mandy

If you did that and put red bows in her piggies, it'd be super cute.

So, I don't think so.

Sweeeeet.... if you guys say so, than it must be, right?

But I'm second guessing the black. It's Florida, you know.

No. It's hard to tell on the computer. I haven't looked at their website.
