Digital photography... Chrissy? Anyone?

Does anyone have a book or guide they like for how to take better digital photos that they'd recommend? There's a "for Dummies" book. I don't know what the "dummies" series books are like. Are they good?

No clue as I have never read anything, but if you find out let me know as I need an idiots guide as right now I am flying blind with trial and error. Maybe take a class? I plan to do that soon. Narong bought me a magazine subscription to the top photo mag that has different tips/tricks/techniques every issue so you might try checking that out..

nikon has a newsletter, there is one put out for photoshopping your pix...
what is it you wanna know? anything specific?

Just looking for ideas for a Christmas gift. Rob had those books on his wish list. I did pick up a book at B&N specific to the 20D.
