I told Paige that I had read on here about Digital Scrapbooking and she's interested in doing it herself. Does anyone have sites to share or programs to recommend? She's 11 and loves to use PowerPoint and Microsoft Publisher to do school projects and cards. She had been working all summer on a PowerPoint show of the families in our neighborhood with pictures and music and graphics, but when my NEW computer crashed, she lost all of it. Would digital scrapbooking be something she could do with PowerPoint or Publisher?

I think there are some threads in Hobby Lobby.

Here is a couple links to some places that have some free kits

If you google digital scrapbooking, you can also find lots of free stuff. These are just sites a friend of mine recommended, who actually makes kits and sells them. Paige will have a blast doing it, and it's WAY cheaper than conventional scrapbooking. :)

Thanks, Mandy!
She's getting very excited!
Just like her mom...She also:love: this place! Whenever we have a question about something she says, "Go ask your friends on-line!"

I sent Paige to the basement right after I sent this last post to dig out a software program that I bought her in the last year or 2 that I vaguely remembered was made by Hallmark and had to do with pictures and cards. She had never looked at it since getting it for either Christmas or her birthday. Well... it's a digital software program called Hallmark Scrapbook Studio! I could not believe that we already owned exactly what we were looking for!!!! So, Glenn loads it on his computer for her and she reads through all of their tutorials all excited about getting started. I go up and sit with her as she starts to look for the pre-made templates and she can't find them. We look and look and look...NOTHING! We got a reject! They are missing and so is everything else except the tutorials! She is so upset and so am I! Of course, I bought it at TJMaxx so long ago that I would never be able to bring it back. I would also guess that I got it on Clearance because I buy lots of their software on Clearance. The poor kid is so mad!
I looked on line and the lastest version is Hallmark Scrapbook Studio DELUXE 3.0. Hallmark is selling it for $26.44 with shipping and they have a $10.00 rebate.
Has anyone heard of this? For $16.44, I'm thinking I should just order it.

I use photoshop.....I hear the hallmark thing is a good started kit for beginners who aren't savvy with photoshop and the like.

I just ordered it. It will be here on Friday.

Lizz, how much is Photoshop?

I have no idea.

We got it for pretty cheap as a software bundle when Ian was going to school part time.

Photoshop Elements is the more simple version and I think that's around $100. It seems to be the standard. But the learning curve is pretty steep. A few books could help that though.
