I have metal cooling racks from my Mom from yeeeaars ago. I put those on a cookie sheet so the grease drains. Pop it in at 350 for about 8-10 minutes. Flip it to broiler for a few. Flip the bacon over and repeat.

I put it on a big heavy cookie sheet, at 350, and start checking it at about 20 minutes for desired doneness. Just pour grease off into a coffee can or something when it's done then put finished bacon on paper towels to blot.

Or pour grease on dog's food....:dunno:

Jedi hardly EVER gets people food......but when I cook bacon he knows he gets a lil love. So he nonchalantly wanders around the kitchen

Max waits patiently at our feet while we are eating, knowing someone will rop something.

Or, waits for Lexie to feed him.

I just put foil on the bottom part of my broiler pan, put the bacon in a cold oven and set to 415. Takes about 15 minutes, depending on desired doneness and how much I put in the pan.

Mine :hbeat:looooooooove:hbeat: bacon grease. I give them a little too. Unless I forget and leave it on the counter to cool, then Tara will just help herself. :getyou:

Nothing like finding tongue prints in the pan. Which you thought you had pushed far enough from the edge of the counter so tongues wouldn't reach. :indiff:

I put mine on parchment paper on a cookie sheet, 400 for 15-20 minutes or so.

I've never cooked bacon in the oven. I hear it's good.

I never did it until Jenny posted about it. I'll never fry it again.

Oh. I've only nuked bacon when I need it partially cooked for wrapping chicken (then grilling). I just can't fathom nuking bacon. I like it a bit crispy on the edges.

I made bacon in the oven one time, and I didn't like it. I wasn't crispy.

I might give it another try when dh isn't home. He was pretty sure I was going to burn the whole house down with that.

Oh, no. Silly Mr. S ... Smoke means you're almost done!

I like it in the oven because I just have to toss the foil away. No making the house smell like bacon, and no greasy splatter (that gets in every nook and cranny) to spend forever cleaning up.

My house still smells like bacon :dunno:

Nat -- mine was crispy.....or burnt, whatever

Well, mine smells like it for a little while, of course. But the smell doesn't linger all day like it would when I make it in a pan. Because, you know. I haven't cleaned the pan yet. :indiff:

I  bacon. You're making me hungry. I don't feel like cooking it, in the oven, micro(ewwww) or stove.
