This is the only way I cook it.

Just throw it on a cookie sheet and bake it at 400 for about 20-30 mins. or so. Basically until youur preference. We like ours really crunchy.

I just put the raw in the oven, I will let you know how it turns out! I do not like it mushy, I can not cook it on the stove top without it getting mushy. /bad cook

You will definitely tell when it is getting done. It turns pretty dark green and the crowns get all black.

That was good, nice and crunchy. Joey loved it, Isabelle ate some, and sophia turned her nose. Then again, she always turns her nose to broccoli. I am never going to steam it again!!

Woot!

My girls don't like it that way so I just usually steam a bit for them.

Question -

How do you put the olive oil on? Do you drizzle or coat in a baggie?

I would fall over dead if my kids ate broccoli.

.....or ANY vegetable

do you try to disguise it at all? I know Micah had issues with sensory integration, but Cam is picky too?

Angie

Uh, yeah, you can do it without the oil. Might be a little more dry.

And I just drizzle the oil and sprinkle the garlic on and toss with my hands on the pan.

They are hip to it all. :nono:

Cam will eat bananas and apples. He tries other fruits but ends up thinking they are yucky. I think he will grow out of it. Micah....not so much.

Yeah I used to be able to sneak things into his pancakes. Not anymore.

I was a really picky kid and now I'll eat anything. I'm holding onto that hope.

This sounds like it would be worth trying. /runs to check SB manual

I always steam mine w/ lemon juice, but I love broccoli, so if it's acceptable, I'll try this.

I did not use much olive oil, just a bit, I actually don't think I used enough. If you don't want to use it you can always try pam so it wont stick.

My kids usually are picky. I have to work with them to eat anything. Except for Joey, he loves anything green.
