Welcome to the Phenomenal Women! Message Boards. The goal of the staff is to make this the best board on the Internet, but to do that we need you! To make joining our circle as easy as possible and to be clear about how we maintain the integrity of our online community, we’ve listed some points below. Members will be held accountable to this list of guidelines whether you read them or not.
Intro: This is a private forum on the Internet which is a public space, that can be read by anyone with membership privileges. Our main focus is the support, encouragement, and celebration of women with many of the topics reflecting on women’s health, nourishment, wisdom, self-help and empowerment. We all learn from each other, and the forum is open to any and all interested members to jump in, ask questions, post stories, and give and receive support.
Staff: Following are the members of the staff here at PW, with links to profiles for your convenience. Administrators and future staff have been and will continue to be appointed because of their passion for the forums and ability to lead. It is not possible to request or lobby for a staff position. When a need arises, a new staff member will be chosen from current membership. This is not a public process.

Membership: Membership at Phenomenal Women is via Invitation only. Prospective members may request an invitation to be sent to them at a valid email address from either a current member, or our Membership Coordinator (invites@phenomsonline.com). Membership is divided into 2 levels:
Jr Member: Members who have fewer than 60 posts are considered Jr Members. Certain luxuries and access to forums with personal and private information are reserved for full members. These forums include topics that cover sex, mental health, and money. This is set so that P.W. can easily recruit new members without having to worry about who is reading our private thoughts. New members who fail to make an initial post within 7 days are removed from the forums.
Full Member: Members who have more than 60 points are considered full members and may enjoy full access to all board features.
Inactive Users: Full members who fail to log in or post for more than 60 days are moved to a group with restricted access. This cuts down on members who lurk but don't participate. This is an interactive forum-- full benefits cannot be achieved without active participation.
Warnings, Infractions, and Banning: Phenomenal Women utilizes an 'Infraction System', which is built into the new version of this software. Members can be warned (0 pts given, simply a polite request to reign it in) or can be given an infraction, which adds pts to your profile. The decision to use a warning or infraction is up to administrative discretion. Following are the offenses a member can receive an infraction or be banned for and the consequence. As you can see, each member is given ample opportunity to correct their behavior within this community before access is removed:
Spammed Advertisements (1 point, will stay in your profile for 3 days)
Inappropriate Image (Nudity, racist, sexist) (5 pts, will stay in your profile for 10 days)
(1) Consistent Negativity (5 pts, will stay in your profile for 10 days)
Personal Attack, Rude, or Disrespectful Response ( 10 pts, will stay in your profile for 30 days)
Members who accumulate 30 pts or more will be banned for a period of 30 days. Once a member returns from a banning, an accumulation of 10 pts will result in a second banning. Another accumulation of 10 pts earns the member a permanent ban.
Certain offenses will be cause for an instant and permanent ban. These are noted throughout the guidelines.
When you receive a warning you will receive a pm which will contain the post you received the infraction for and a message from the administrator if they choose to enter one. You'll also see a reference in your user profile and a small red (http://www.phenomsonline.com/board/images/buttons/redcard.gif) or yellow (http://www.phenomsonline.com/board/images/buttons/yellowcard.gif) box will appear next to the reply/edit/delete buttons.
Privacy: This is a private support site with an expectation of confidentiality. It is against P.W. policy to disseminate personal or otherwise critical information to others outside this site. Members who are found to be filtering information from this site for posting or otherwise "feeding" information to others will be instantly and permanently removed.
NOTE: Statistics regarding who has viewed a thread and when it was viewed are completely visible to the admin staff. This includes invisible members. If needed, this information will be used to determine if/when information has been redistributed without permission.
Phenomenal women tracks cookies and IP addresses for each member. We have installed software that will detect when 2 members appear to be sharing IP addresses. Members who are found to be 'sharing' their log- in with individuals who have been previously removed from this forum will be instantly and permanently removed from the forums. Great pains have been taken to ensure that members enjoy the utmost in privacy and that they are able to have a comfortable, cozy, safe and confidential atmosphere. Members who pose a threat to that atmosphere are not welcome here. This policy is to be taken very seriously.
Show Respect to One Another: When posting, we ask that you share your point of view with tolerance and compassion. If you disagree with what is written and choose to respond, do so with consideration. Debate ideas and partake in lively discussions, however we do not run a debate or flame forum and personal attacks against members will not be tolerated. This will result in an infraction and continued attacks will result in banning.

Discontent and Conflict Resolution: It is against guidelines to air complaints regarding the forum for the purpose of creating disharmony.
