Do they have the same food as Pei Wei?

Do they have the same food as Pei Wei?
Basically, but it's a little better. Less saucy, bigger portions - but same owners and very similar recipes.

ah...we have PF Changs here, but not Pei Wei.
I *love* the honey seared shrimp. (what it's called at Pei Wei)

I'll be the odd, crazy person. I didn't care for the lettuce wraps at Pei Wei. It tasted like ground meat, in lettuce. I thought they were kind of blah.
But maybe I'd like them better at PF Changs.
Everyone else seems to like them, so I'm sure I'm just crazy.
*ducks*
:stars:
Do they have a little bit of everything platter?
Allison

I've had both, KP, and the lettuce wraps are definately better at PF Chang's. I don't know why they make them differently, but they do.

No, but if you're going with other people - your food is served family style, so you can share.

This one just opened up not too long ago. I am in love.
The lettuce wraps are easy to duplicate at home.
Really? Have you found a good recipe?
Please post away.
I had one. Let me see if it's still on my computer.
I've never been.
If you like chinese you must go.
Cliff isn't really a big chinese fan and he really liked it.
I love that they have brown rice.

I love chinese. Ian and I just don't get out.
I've never used this recipe, but it's the only one I can find on my computer. It's for low carb wraps.
4 chicken breasts
1 8 oz can water chestnuts (drained)
1 can straw mushrooms (drained)
3 stalks green onions
1 handful cashew nuts
1 head of lettuce (iceberg)
3 to 4 gloves garlic
2 tsp rice vinegar
2 tbsp light soy sauce
2 tsp (or more to taste) Asian chili sauce
2 tsp Chinese hot mustard
3 packets splenda
2 tsp lemon juice
water
oil
In a large skillet or wok put about 2 tbsp oil or enough to coat the bottom of pan and brown chicken breast on both side, until done.
While chicken is cooking, dice/mince into very small pieces, green onions, cashews, water chestnuts, straw mushrooms and garlic. Set aside.
In a bowl mix together soy sauce, rice vinegar, mustard, chili sauce, splenda, 1/2 the garlic and 2 splashes water and lemon juice.
Once chicken is done, remove and mince into tiny pieces, then place back in pan on heat, stir in veggies and add sauce. Cook for about 2 to 3 minutes on med/high heat.
drain
Take individual lettuce leaves and fill with mixture, wrap up and enjoy.
If you want a spicy sauce to drizzle over the lettuce wraps, mix a spoonful of chili sauce, hot mustard and rice vinegar, add a little sesame seeds.
