I'm looking for a simple, delicious, perfect dessert to make for Mother's Day dinner. I'd love some recommendations. :D

I have heard that Aki makes a killer soapilla cheesecake that is really easy. Lizz has the recipe.

Here's a really simple pie that tastes great, looks like you worked hard and is trivial to make.

1 storebought pie crust
1 bag of frozen mixed berries
1 can of pie filling (I usually use cherry)

Thaw the berries
Mix the berries with the pie filling and put into pie crust
Bake on 350 for about 40 mins.

I had a pie at a fancy tea room one time that was nothing more than a pie crust filled with sliced bananas. They drizzled caramel over the bananas and topped with fresh whipped cream. It was fantastic.

You can't go wrong with a white layer cake decorated with fresh berries, either.

I think I'm going to make strawberry shortcake. Strawberries are so yummy right now.

Oh geesh..I need to tell you about the BEST DESSERT EVER. Josh's aunt makes it and everyone raves. Super simple.

You take oreo cookies and smash them up, mix in butter (I'll have to get the exact quantities) and press into the bottom of a glass baking dish. Then you add ice cream (which you have allowed to soften) press it down and make a layer.

Then you add a layer of chocolate fudge or caramel....then another layer of coolwhip.

Stick it all in the freezer.

I'm not going to make this, because I wouldn't be able to resist it. Strawberry shortcake I could resist.

I don't think I've ever made anything with fillo.

That banana thing does sound awesome.
