Did you know your pumpkin sausage soup made Linda Sue's site?

She doesn't like it though.. (BECAUSE SHE DIDN'T DO IT RIGHT) :jack:  :jack:

She didn't add the seasoning?! WTF?

taragunner
05-09-2006, 05:16 PM
I don't think she used the spicy sausage either. :nono:

It's her own damn fault.

Dar
05-09-2006, 05:17 PM
Someone should e-mail her.

KarenMA

Then she shouldn't call it Phoebe's recipe. She didn't even list the italian spice in the recipe.

ETA: I agree that at first I didn't think I would like the italian spice either. Couldn't envision what it would taste like and scared to ruin the entire pot of soup but it really is the right spice to use.

Badass.

:right:

I was very polite. I think. I think I'm always polite and ended up getting banned, so what do I know?

Dar
05-09-2006, 05:37 PM
She feels she was justified in using Phoebe's name because she "stated that she made some changes" but it wasn't "exceptional" enough to warrant 4 or 5 stars.

taragunner
05-09-2006, 05:39 PM
Did you tell her if she hadn't changed it, it would be 5 stars? :bang:

And.. she got back to you that quickly?

Dar
05-09-2006, 05:44 PM
I told her that I thought she should try it the way it was written and that hopefully she'll find it as exceptional as I do.

Robin

I can't remember how/when/why, but Linda Sue was a crabby bitch to me one time at LCF. But her recipes are good.

One would think she would request permission before posting a recipe like that.

This kinda stuff makes me giggle. If you're going to be a crabby bitch....have a reason. Not a recipe. A rattlesnake dream, maybe....

Natale

It is possible she snapped at me for a reason. :right: But probably not. She's just a big meanie head who doesn't know how to make soup right.

Terri
05-09-2006, 11:55 PM
That's irritating. That's like the people on Allrecipes.com who change 5 things in a recipe and then give it a bad rating. :nono:

Michele
05-09-2006, 11:57 PM
She could be controlling. I like her recipes, mostly. But they are too caserole-y (is that a word?) for me.

I don't really want to make "mock" white castle burgers. When I'm eating good, I don't crave White Castle's...but maybe that's just me. I'd rather have some good chicken and a vegatable on the side.

Michele
05-09-2006, 11:59 PM
And a good low carb mojito. My own recipe, of course. :right:

I am scared of LindaSue. :indiff:

Natale

I like casseroles. But I'm scared of mojitos. Especially the ones that have plastic bags as an ingredient.

eta: White castle? Never had it. :dunno:

how could anybody NOT like the pumpkin sausage soup?<--does not compute

I'm thinking someone who left out 2 of the major ingredients might find it a little bland.

Huh. Interesting.

It's not *my* recipe. It's a recipe that I got off a LC board AGES ago - the board doesn't even exist anymore and unfortunately, I have no idea who the original poster is/was.

Unfortunately, the chick put MY name on it and people refer to it as mine. :dunno:

If she doens't like it then oh well. Her loss. No biggie.

Now - WTF is going on with you, Mac?

Phoebe
05-10-2006, 04:21 AM

Mac? LOL! You got a hacker?

She wrote me back again.. says she doesn't like Italian seasonings so she didn't include them, and she says there's no difference between mild and hot sausage in flavor. Um, I beg to differ.

WTF?! Well, there goes her credibility in the taste dept.

k

Probably explains why many of her recipes are bland. :dunno:

ITA!!!

I don't want to eat casseroles or some other cheese filled dish every day I LC. I love cheese but I think she gets carried away with that.

To each his own, I guess.
