Is anyone having a special? Does anyone know how to cook them with great success?
I have been craving them for at least a week.

Joe's Crab Shack was having a special recently, but I don't know if it's still going on.
It was 3 (or 4?) bucks off any crab entree, plus an extra side of snow crab legs for free.

I have some in the freezer...they're all yours. :)
Pat picked up a box of frozen snow crab legs at Walmart, for ten dollars. Seems like a decent price.

That is a good price. How do you heat them?

Hmm.. I was just thinking about making a crab cake myself. :right: Maybe you guys should go out for dinner.
Yeah...we really should. I have been cleaning and then out all day with the kids.
We just weren't impressed with Joe's crab shack when we first tried it.

I just defrost them in warm water, and then put them on a cookie sheet and cook them in the oven for 12-17 minutes.

I bought a Dungeness at Costco last year. That was kind of a lot of work to clean and such....
I wouldn't mind cooking some snow crab legs though.

Dungeness crab are from Washington. /useless information
We're taking my brothers out to the Crab Pot for their bday dinner next sat. /also no help
We use our turkey fryer and boil the water on that to cook lobster/crab.
It is the best cuz the water gets so hot.

How do you make crab cakes?
I make them just by dumping the crab meat in a dish and sprinkle a little salt and pepper and Old Bay (Just a little, other wise you over power the crab since its such a mild meat), add a little melted butter (small amount), butter up my hands and pat into patties (the butter helps to hold them together), melt some butter in a frying pan on low/med.cover and fry them up. you don't want to cook them to quickly on high heat because the outside will burn from the butter, before the insides are done.
You can usually find lump crab meat in little clear-white containers in the seafood dept of your grocery store.

At Kroger Alaskan King crab legs are $7.99 per pound this week.
About 3 weeks ago we bought them on sale for $6.99/pound but had to buy 10lbs.
We just boil them for a few and their perfect every time.
