I'm house-sitting for my parents while they're out of town, and I found a thing of venison in the freezer. I know my mom doesn't like it, but I love the stuff. I've never actually cooked it myself before. Does anyone else cook venison? What are some easy, yet delicious things I can do with it?
TIA
:nono:
I have heard chili is good.

Someone gave me a recipe for venison "nuggets" - I kept it because she said it was good with chicken, too. Are you interested?
Is it ground? Or a roast?
We often have it. I usually just keep shoving it to the back of the freezer. But if Rob notices  that we have gone a really long time without any he askes about it.
I like things like chili because the strong tomato flavor masks the wild game flavor.
If it's a roast, sprinkle with a package of onion soup mix a little water, cover and roast. I love venison, deer, antelope, elk, it's all good. :eat:

It's ground. I'm thinking burgers would be good. But the chili sounds good too. Mmmmm....venison chili dogs.

We eat venison, elk, etc all the time. I use it in stew, chili, stroganoff... pretty much anything you'd use beef in.

I made burgers. They were yummy.

I was going to make some venison a while ago, but it was all freezer burned. :(
