You'd think these would be easy to find.

My mom wants me to make her wedding cake. We have out of town guests that are going to be here up until the day of the wedding. I don't have the time to give a cake my full attention or concentration. So I told Mom I couldn't do it. She said she wasn't disappointed but I still feel terribly guilty.

So last night I was thinking I could make cupcakes and decorate them simply, yet pretty and put them on a nice stand. Well I can't find one. :bang: Not even at the local cake supply stores. I can't order one because the wedding is in a week.

I guess I'll have to....to...*gasp* order a cake.

Cake? :eat:

I can't remember ever seeing a cupcake stand...could you just get some of those pedastalled (sp) plates and stack them?

Does it take a week for things you order to get to you? I could order something online today and have it by Wed. or Thurs. I know American Girl has a cupcake stand because I came this close >< to ordering one. :D

Do they make separate cupcake stands? What about a 3-tiered stand like is used for tea service?

I saw what's her face on Semi-Homemade cooking just use toothpicks to stack them and it looked beautiful.

Let me see if I can find a pic.

I guess it's not what I remembered. I thought it was more fancy.

Lizz - there are tons of things you could use instead of buying one. Alton Brown would throw you out of his kitchen for not using a multitasker. :wag:
:shame:

I should get a tiered plate. I need one anyway. And it can multitask.

Hey Lizz, I saw the cupcake stands at Hobby Lobby.
I know, right?

the sweet irony of it all....I couldn't find a tiered platter thing to save my life but there the cupcake stands were just hangin' out at Hobby Lobby.

I got some teeny tiny calla lilies made from clay and some pretty beads to decorate the stand with. I hope it turns out nice.
