View Full Version : I've decided..
I am not that big of a fan of Sugar Rush. One would think I would be but... meh. The host kinda grates on my nerves.
Alton, on the other hand...
warren brown must not be a big enough geek for me.
Warren is not the Brown I would choose.
If I had a choice of anyone from FN, Tyler Florence. :agree:
Plus the second I learned that Warren was married to a caucasian woman I lost all interest in the show. I have issues.
Tyler is married too I think. :(
I have issues with the black/white thing, but only with certain people. It's completely irrational and unexplainable, but better now than it used to be but I have issues.

Sugar Rush... no so much
i tend to like the shows I can use in every day life. Those that give me practical techniques and recipes.
I'm with ya Moke - I thought I was impressed but I'm sooo not. I like watching the segments but I completely zone out when Warren thinks he's impressing me while he puts a dollop of whipped cream on parfait he made.
:word:
I love watching people work with fondant. Other than that......it's cake. I'm over it.
Fondant scares me. That is why Susan will be doing all the decorating when we open our bakery. I will bake and take $$$$.
I would hate to hear what you think of Tyler then. He is always talking with his mouth full.
Will you just move out here and get it over with? I would love to own my own business (with a partner)
*sigh*
Talk FOTY into letting B move.
He always did want to change his name to something shorter.....
I haven't seen Tyler's show. I must not be watching at the right time. I basically watch Rachel (until she drives me nuts), Giada (and roll my eyes the entire time), Paula (and droooooooool), Ina (but she is so monotone!!), Alton, Unwrapped, Secret Life Of..., Good Deal with Dave Lieberman (sometimes) and whoever else comes on Saturdays. I also like Recipe for Success and Restaurant Makeover. Used to watch Sugar Rush but meh, and I had to cut Sandra Lee out of the picture completely. I like their specials too but I pick and choose.
I hate Barefoot Contessa.
Tyler's Food 911 is on at 3.
Is Barefoot Contessa Ina Garten?
I wish she was more animated. She's like.
I invited my friend Jerry over for pie.
He loves apple pie.
I need to go to the store for apples.
Woooooooooooo. I am all excited for apple pie, now.

Yes. And that is why I dislike her.
"I am gonna make you a yummy delicious meal of frapped goose*bends forward*, using the goose right out of your own pantry! I've got a yummy delicious side dish of macaroni and dirt *bends forward* to go with it that is just scrumptious and to drink, I made a yummy delicious beet smoothie*bends forward* ! I've also got a fabulous grey and red tablescape set with wine glasses and candles for the middle of the FRICKEN day, and all these decorations I pulled out of my shed (aka the prop department) and look! I am even wearing goose feathers! My friends LOVE when I tell them how to make things exactly as it says on the package, except screw it up a little and call it semi homemade!! "

Have you guys checked out Top Chef? If you like reality shows, this one is pretty decent. The premise is that each week, the contestents are given a mission like presentation, a basket of ingredients, ... and are judged accordingly. It is a bit more elaborate than that but not a whole lot. Like all reality shows, the strategy each contestent employs is intersting as well as the infighting. I think it is on 10 pm est Weds.
I saw about 2 minutes of it. I'm not big on competition shows. I like Iron Chef but I never watch to see who wins.
I did see part of the show with they guy that uses too many foo foo words and the woman that said beautiful too much. After that I thought it was like American Idol with food.

I think that was the next FN star. Cuz I saw that. I have never seen the Top Chef one.
And I only watch the Japanese one for the funky stuff they do. Sharks fin?

I like Ina but she is pleasant and mellow. I love her books, but sometimes her comments are goofy. "I dont think they're going to be disappointed with Raspberry tart do you?" Um..yeah Ina, I think they're going to be pissed off and will want to kick you in the face. Duh! Who doesnt love dessert Ina!
That is hilarious because it's totally accurate. I love her.
I still want to kick her in her mono tone mouth.

No, no. She's just calm. I think that's one reason why I like her.
No no is right. You just do it this way.

I like Ina too and I wouldnt mind living in her swanky little house either. There seems to be enough room for me since Jeffery isn't ever there.
